Pastor Scott Cappleman
Scott Cappleman has served as the pastor of CrossPoint Church since the church was launched in August 2005. He has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 16 ½ years. They have three children: Carly Beth (11); Eli (9); and Clancy (4).
The Cappleman family has lived in Starkville, MS, for the last 9 ½ years. One of the joys of living in Starkville has been the opportunity to minister to the students of Mississippi State University. From 2000-2005, Scott was the pastor of Adaton Baptist Church. Due to the churches growth and limited amount of space, Adaton decided in 2005 to plant a new church called CrossPoint. Scott and his family chose to help plant the new church and have been on a journey of faith for the last two years in that endeavor.
Scott enjoys spending time with Kelly and their three children. He can often be found at the soccer, baseball, or softball fields or on the basketball court coaching one of his childrens teams. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging and reading.

Ministry Secretary Barbara Fortner
Barbara serves CrossPoint as Ministry Secretary. She served as Ministry Assistant at Adaton Baptist Church from July 2003 – July 2005. At that time Barbara and her husband were members of First Baptist Church in Mathiston, MS. September 4, 2005 they moved their membership to CrossPoint because of the vision of reaching out to all people for Christ.
Barbara and Wallace have been married 40 years. God blessed their home with:
Lonnie, Karen, Beth & Lee Fortner; Gale, Ed, Laura Hope Belk & Kayla Williamson;
Connie, Lacey & Linzy Frazier; and Christy, Josh & Noah Morgan.

Next Generation Pastor Matt Loving
Matt serves CrossPoint as Next Generation Pastor. He was born September 11th , 1974 in Memphis , Tennessee and later went on to graduate from Brandon High School 1992.
He graduated from Mississippi College 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education and later recieved a master of divinity in christian education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary 2004. Matt has been an ordained minister since 2005. Before coming to CrossPoint he served as a Student Pastor at Adaton Baptist Church in Starkville, Oak Hill Baptist in Poplarville and as a third grade teacher at Byram Elemtary School.
He has been happily married since may 1996 to Jenny and they have 4 children-Carson Tessa, Ava, & Isabel.

Financial Secretary Jennifer Prosser
Jennifer helps keep the numbers in line around CrossPoint.Although her full time job is at Starkville Academy she puts in many heartfelt hours serving the people of CrossPoint.
Her other half is Dr. Sidney Prosser who keeps the world laughing. They have two boys(men) Will and Andy.

Children's Minister Brandy Johnson
Brandy has been Children's Minister at Crosspoint since October 2006. She was an active member of Adaton Baptist Church from March 2003 until August 2005 when she joined Crosspoint.Brandy is a native of Florence , MS and graduate of Mississippi State University .
She and her husband, Travis, have two sons- Samuel and David Levi. Brandy desires to minister to children in such a way that they understand Mark 12:30 "Love the Lord God with all heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength."
